Brett Gleason’s new single “Real Love” arrives June 9th, the first track to be released from his forthcoming album Prophesy (2023). “Real Love” follows on a wave of critical acclaim for the accomplished Los Angeles-based songwriter and performer that has landed him a new record deal with ECR Music Group’s Meridian imprint.
The artist credits a childhood speech impediment leading to a mastery of multiple instruments (Gleason performs all the instruments on “Real Love” except for drums). “I was super-isolated growing up, even in New York,” shares Gleason. “I spent most of my youth as a competitive gymnast and classical pianist.”
His first two self-released efforts were met with both critical and commercial success, each reaching the Top #100 on iTunes’ Alternative charts, with Gleason scoring the #1 Video on MTV Logo’s The Click List.

These comments really prove my point about the bravery of the trans community just trying to live their lives without persecution. Still waiting for one of the of the negative commenters to state how a trans person has negatively affected their lives but there are countless examples of cis people going out of their way to hurt trans and non-binary people. gross.

Yeah, if you marginalize yourself and ostracize yourself to society then society shouldn’t have to change for you, a minuscule percentage of the population. If you don’t like getting shunned, or treated differently, not that I will do it to them, however, you can’t expect that same treatment from the entirety of society. They made that choice themselves. If they don’t like the result, it’s really not anyone’s issue but theirs, most of the feelings are internal anyhow, there are occasionally external issues that plague them but the vast majority of resentment, comes from within themselves against society. When they chose to make the decision to oust themselves.
